As with Laboratidal I, this object is set into motion within a tidal machine. A box or building opens and closes automatically in response to the rising and falling of the water. A scissor mechanism, driven by the tidal range, lifts the roof to a height three times the tidal difference. The tide as a perpetuum mobile.
